In May, 2005, Garner celebrated its 100 year Centennial. Garner is located approximately 8 miles south of Raleigh. Garner is a place that has a small town feel with uptown access to everything Raleigh, the Research Triangle Park, and other areas have to offer.
Garner is located at the interchange of Interstate 40 and US Highway 70. This community offers quick access to the Triangle's first class universities, The Research Triangle Park, Atlantic Coast Conference athletics, professional sporting events, and world renowned golfing events. Along with quick access to everything the triangle area has to offer, Garner residents can be at the beach, on the eastern coast of the state in approximately 2-3 hours. They can also travel to the mountains, in the western part of the state of North Carolina, in approximately 4-5 hours.
